In homeopathy, we sometimes distinguish between constitutional and situational prescribing.
Constitutional prescribing looks at the person as a whole—their long-standing patterns, tendencies, and ways of responding to life.
Situational prescribing may address a more recent or acute layer, such as a period of grief, shock, or overload.
In burnout, both layers may be present.
A skilled homeopath considers which layer needs attention first—and at what pace.
This is not about fixing everything at once. It’s about supporting the system in a way it can actually receive.
