Cortisol often gets a bad reputation, but it’s not the enemy.
Cortisol is one of the hormones that helps regulate energy, blood sugar, inflammation, and our daily rhythm. In a healthy stress response, cortisol rises in the morning to help us wake up, and gradually falls toward evening so the body can rest.
Under chronic stress, this rhythm can become disrupted.
Some people feel flat and exhausted in the morning, only to feel more alert at night. Others experience energy crashes, shakiness, or a sense of being “wired” without stamina.
Rather than seeing this as a hormonal failure, it’s more helpful to view it as a rhythm that’s been pushed out of sync.
Homeopathy pays close attention to rhythms—daily, emotional, and energetic—because restoring balance is often about supporting timing as much as function.
